I don’t find it extremist. I simply find it blasphemous.

Watchtower is over the top but Awake is about as controversial as the Reader’s Digest.

  9. Sweet Suzy 777! Says:

    It is misleading.

  10. Matthew Says:

The Awake magazine is not bad, but the Watchtower magazine I don’t go a heap on.

I think GOD likes diversity. He likes his children thinking out of the box. It makes life for interesting. I know a lot of very nice people who are Jehovah Witnesses. It a matter of mutual respect. I just happen to believe in my GOD.

  12. THE MIGHTY RA Says:

I think all right wing christian hate material should be gathered up and burnt

  13. a theist Says:

They aren’t crusading. What’s the problem? Let them preach their false gospel and leave them alone.

  14. Rica Says:

I dont know that much about the literature to be honest. Not at the moment, anyway.

I think people are highly influenced by rumours/ rare cases as it appears to be ‘information’ provided for them, without having to research themselves? Idk..

I’m assuming that just as in many other topics, including religion, there are extremists, moderates and slackers!

Everyone knows that Putin had a vendetta against Jehovah’s people. When a deaf group could not understand the police they beat them and broke up their meeting in the congregation. One Brother lost an eye and was beaten severely even women and children.Nothing was ever done about the police actions. We were hoping the new president would have more mercy.Time will tell.

Misinformed. I went to the Cliff Dwellings once when I was younger. Up on the side of the rock, they had carved a ladder of sorts with holes just for the big toe. The way the rock face was if you leaned forward, you could easily climb it. But as a safeguard, they had made it to where if you started on the wrong toe, or foot, half way up you could not continue. You would have to go all the way down and start over.

The Jehovah Witnesses have started on the wrong premise, the wrong truth. They can not get there without going all the way back to the Bible and starting over again on the right foot.

Here, in the free Western world I find Jehovah’s Witness literature to be extremist, and I’m a liberal Christian. Heaven help them if their literature gets into Eastern, Islamic states. Mind you, they have never, to my knowledge, out-rightly condemned Islam.

Well, it’s a relief to know that it’s not only Jehovah’s Witnesses who are being persecuted in Russia. According to them, they are unique, when it comes to persecution.

However, they possibly don’t acknowledge the followers of Islam as being worthy of sharing in persecution. As would the followers of Mohamed denounce Christians. It has been so for centuries.

Anyway, the point is that Jehovah’s Witness literature categorically states that every religion on the face of the planet, except for theirs, is part of Babylon the Great, the Harlot of Revelation, who is soon to be destroyed. And then they wonder why they are not popular?

Whatever happened to the good news of the gospel? The liberation that comes from being Christian? But Jehovah’s Witnesses claim they, and only they are Christians, and you and I are going to die when Armageddon turns up (any decade or two or three now) and then they wonder why their literature is viewed as extremist.

  18. Friend Says:

They have perverted the Word of God by inventing their perversion of the Bible, namely New World Translation. It is a known fact that none of the NWT translators had any formal training in Biblical languages
